Abstract

Ikan Botia merupakan salah satu ikan hias air tawar yang memiliki warna tubuh yang menarik, sehingga kecarahan warnanya perlu diperhatikan. Bunga marigold memiliki kandungan karotenoid dari golongan xantofil, yakni lutein yang dapat menjadikan kualitas warna ikan botia lebih cerah. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 5 minggu dengan formulasi pakan yang berbeda sebanyak 5 perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung bunga marigold berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap kecerahan warna ikan botia dan formulasi penambahan TBM sebanyak 2 % merupakan formulasi perlakuan yang terbaik. Penambahan tepung bunga marigold tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan bobot tubuh relatif dan kelangsungan hidup ikan botia. "Fish Botia is a freshwater fish that have an attractive body colors. Marigolds have a carotenoid content of xantofil groups , namely lutein which can make quality color brighter Botia fish . This research was conducted for 5 weeks with different feed formulations by 5 treatment . The results showed that the addition of flour marigolds very significant effect on the brightness of the color of the fish Botia and the addition TBM formulations as much as 2 % is the best treatment formulations . The addition of marigold flower flour had no effect on body weight relative growth and survival of fish Botia ."
