Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh kemampuan berhitung, dengan berbagai media dan metode yang tepat yang tidak merusak pola perkembangan anak, sehingga ketika anak telah memasuki kejenjang berikutnya yaitu Sekolah Dasar (SD) anak sudah memiliki kemampuan dalam berhitung. namun telah kita ketahui bahwa siswa itu berbeda antara satu dengan yang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbandingan kemampuan berhitung siswa yang mengikuti PAUD dengan siswa yang tidak mengikuti PAUD di kelas 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah siswa di kelas 1A dan siswa di kelas 1B. Teknik pengumpul data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan penyebaran soal tes. Dari hasil penelitian, data profil siswa yang mengikuti PAUD dengan siswa yang tidak mengikuti PAUD di kelas 1A dan 1B dan observasi dilakukan dengan perhitungan uji-t dengan hasil t-hitung kemampuan berhitung siswa yang mengikuti PAUD 1.863 dengan tingkat Sig.(2- tailed = .069.) sedangkan hasil kemampuan berhitung siswa yang tidak mengikuti PAUD adalah t-hitung sebesar 1.952 dengan tingkat Sig. (2-tailed =.058.) Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa terdapat perbandingan kemampuan berhitung antara siswa mengikuti PAUD dengan siswa yang tidak mengikuti di kelas 1 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Ulum Kabupaten Kubu Raya. (2- tailed = .069.), while the results of numeracy skills of students who did not take early childhood education programs is the t-test with a level of 1,952 Sig. (2-tailed = .058.) The conclusion from this study that there is a comparison of numeracy skill among students attended early childhood education programs with students who did not attend early childhood education programs in first grade in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Ulum Kabupaten Kubu Raya"
