Abstract

Implementation of science edutainment approach based lesson study to learning outcomes. The discussion method in SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak hasn’t support improvement in Biology learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the implementation of the science-edutainment-based learning approach and find out the student learning outcomes. The method used by Classroom Action Research. Class XI MIPA 9 was chosen sample research Data collected through cognitive tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the results of the reflection is 100% of students had learned enthusiastically, were free to move, and were active in discussions. The average student score before taking action was only 49.43 with a percentage of completeness 49.43% and after being taught using the science-edutainment approach, in the first cycle, the average value reached 83.71 with a percentage of completeness is 77.14% and increased in the cycle II to 89.43 with a percentage is 97.14%. The conclusion of the implementation of learning has succeeded in improving biology students learning outcomes.
