Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is still a big problem around the world. This pandemic has a huge impact in all sectors, one of which is religious, activities. Many countries have prepared a new normal during the covid�19 pandemic, including indonesia. A place of worship is one of the public places that must be prepared to enter the new normal era. The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of worship place officers in pontianak city to enter the new normal era. Research design using cross sectional. The number of samples of this study were 90 places of worship in Pontianak City which were selected by proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques through direct observation. The data analysis was conducted descriptively to determine the readiness of the worshipers during the New Normal period. The result of observation show that only 2.2% of money limits the path or exit the house of worship, 4.4% checks the temperature of the congregation, 5.6% controls the number of congregations, 8.9% applies a minimum distance limitation of one meter, 8.9% which shortens the time for performing worship, 25.6% provides handsanitizer, 47.8% who require the use of masks, 73.3% who put up an appeal for implementing health protocols, and 94.4% who carry out regular cleaning or disinfection, and 96.7% who provide hand washing facilities in house of worship
