Abstract

Background: Immunization-preventable diseases (PD3I) are a major health problem in treatment due to the rapid frequency of transmission. Measles cases in Indonesia in 2014-2018 were reported at 89,127 measles cases with 22 deaths, while laboratory results found 19,392 positive measles results. Of these cases, 89% of measles cases were suffered by children under the age of 15. Method: The research design used in this study is a descriptive research design with a case study approach and spatial approach. This study aims to epidemiologically analyze the incidence of measles in Pontianak City 2017-2019 Results: The results showed that measles cases were predominantly female from 2017-2019. In 2017 measles incidence in women (68.18%), in 2018 in women (72.7%) and in 2019 the incidence of measles in women (57.1%). A positive measles outbreak in 2019 occurred in South Pontianak and North Pontianak sub-districts. Advice: Provide counseling to the public about the importance of immunizations and provide health care insurance if there are side effects of such immunizations. In addition, the need for socialization about the symptoms of measles in the community, so that the public also knows the symptoms of campk so that the infected child is immediately isolated.
