Abstract

The purpose of this study is to study the effect of Leverage using Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), working capital turnover using Working Capital Turnover (WCT), and sales growth using Sales Growth (SG) on profitability using Return on Assets (ROA) in companies conducting IPOs on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The data used in this study are secondary data, obtained from the IDX website which contains the 2017 financial statements. The population used in this study obtained 51 companies. The sample selection technique used a purposive sampling method and obtained 40 companies conducting IPOs on the IDX. The data analysis technique used is the classic assumption test and statistical test. Based on the results of the analysis using the classical assumption test, the data in this study are normally distributed, the data do not occur multicollinearity, autocorrelation and heteroscedasticity, which in the linearity test are summarized in the data in this study in linear. Simultaneous test results show the regression model can be used to predict ROA as evidenced by a significant F value of 0.0226. R-Square value of 0.224 indicates the independent ability variable in explaining the variation of the dependent variable of 22.4% is accepted at 77.6% accepted by other variables outside the research model. The results of the partial DER test are not binding on ROA, Working Capital Turnover also does not affect ROA, and only discusses Sales related to ROA.
