Abstract

Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder. The prevalence of schizophrenia is 0.07% of the total population, namely 377 people with schizophrenia in the Kubu Raya district and 39 patients in the Sungai Kakap Health Center area. The purpose of this study was to determine and obtain an epidemiological description of the incidence of schizophrenia in Sungai Kakap Public Health Center, Kab. Kubu Raya. This type of research is descriptive observational research. The sample in this study is part of the population, namely the entire population of 55 people. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses univariate analysis to display the variables descriptively by calculating the frequency and category of respondents. The results showed that most schizophrenic sufferers were in Sungai Kakap village as much as 36.4%, 72.7% were aged between 15-40 years (at productive age), as many as 72.7% were male. 61.8% of schizophrenia sufferers and 38.2% of them work as farmers. 80.0% of schizophrenic sufferers with unmarried marital status, 67.3% of schizophrenic sufferers have experienced family conflicts, 69.1% of schizophrenic sufferers have not experienced separation from their closest people, 50.9% of schizophrenic sufferers have experienced stress category high, 67.3% of schizophrenics experienced poor parenting and 83.6% of schizophrenic patients were families with low economic status. Suggestions for the Health Office of Kubu Raya Regency, it is hoped that it will increase cross-sector cooperation with related agencies such as the Social Service, Mental Hospital, and others in efforts to deal with mental disorders, especially schizophrenia, and form and promote a Community Mental Health Implementation Team (TPKJM) which involving cross-programs, cross-sector and related agencies.
